• Water: Safe to shower and wash hands in. Stainless steel does not rust, so everyday water will not harm it. Rinse off chlorine and salt water afterward and pat dry.
• Tarnish: No tarnish. The steel core does not oxidize, so there is nothing to polish off and no need for silver dips or polishing cloths.
• Cleaning: Rinse with warm water and a drop of mild soap, then dry with a soft cloth. Skip abrasive polishes and ultrasonic cleaners, which dull the finish over time.
• Gold finish: The steel underneath will not rust, but the gold-tone layer can soften at high-friction points, such as the clasp, after long heavy wear. Rinsing off chlorine, salt water and lotion keeps the color even for longer.
